Château Saint-Jean is located in Montluçon, a sub-prefecture in the Allier département. As a former hotel, it had a great deal of potential even before the renovation undertaken by Nicole and Jean-Claude Delion, its new owners. As an iconic part of the local landscape in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, it is set to become an exclusive destination for rest and relaxation from 2019 onwards.

Going back to its roots

The new owners, native of this region, have undertaken important works to restore the charm that characterized it in the past.
The aim is to welcome a large number of tourists ready to discover and enjoy the wonderful parts of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
Only few months before its grand opening, Château Saint-Jean mix savoir vivre, high gastronomy and perfect Auvergne identity.

The Lobby

From the very moment you step inside, you are dazzled by the attention to detail and the refinement crafted by Patrick Jouin, a true master in the art of devising pure lines and blending elegant shades.
The Lobby instantly becomes an invitation to venture further, acting as the first page of this fine work we call the Château.

The Bar Saint-Jean

Once you are settled in this intimate, cosy and warm ambience designed and created by Patrick Jouin, the famed decorator known for his work in Paris luxury hotels, ask our head barman to serve you one of his creations, celebrated spirits or leading brands of champagne, as well as those produced by winemakers whom you will be glad to discover.
The unique décor will help you enjoy a rare moment around a fireplace made of Volvic stone, or inside a spacious alcove conducive to discretion.

Comfort and well-being in every details

The famous Château Saint-Jean has therefore been restored to its original glory with 17 luxurious guest rooms and suites from 2019. Guests will have access to a relaxation area and a spa, as well as the panoramic views of the Saint-Jean Park and its resident swans that they will be able to watch from their rooms.

La Chapelle

In order to attract the region’s gourmet diners as well as the tourists who are expected to visit from all over France and Europe, We bet on the dining experience. Château Saint-Jean will therefore offer sublime fine dining at is gastronomic restaurant: La Chapelle. The kitchen will be led by Olivier Valade, Starred Chef who will propose a traditional and creative cuisine all in nuances.

Le Bistrot Saint-Jean

Whether you’re relaxing beneath the shelter of the glass roof, enjoying the shade of the parasols on the sun terrace, or even propping up the bar, Le Bistrot and its staff will look after you. You are bound to find a favorite dish or even a full menu to savor in the bright surroundings of our bistro, as you enjoy a light meal or a snack cooked under the supervision of Olivier Valade, our gourmet chef.

Le Spa

Whether the aim is to keep fit in the gym, relax during a massage, get away from it all in our sauna or sensual showers, or simply to enjoy our heated indoor pool and Jacuzzi, our guests will enjoy an exceptional spa day in a vast space dedicated to serenity and relaxation.
